มูลนิธิพระบรมราชานุสรณ์ พระบาทสมเด็จพระพุทธเลิศหล้านภาลัย ในพระบรมราชูปถัมภ์ ซึ่งสมเด็จพระกนิษฐาธิราชเจ้า กรมสมเด็จพระเทพรัตนราชสุดาฯ สยามบรมราชกุมารี ทรงเป็นประธานมูลนิธิฯ ได้สร้างอุทยานพระบรมราชานุสรณ์พระบาทสมเด็จพระพุทธเลิศหล้านภาลัยขึ้น ณ ตำบลซึ่งเป็นสถานที่นิวาสสถานแห่งพระบรมราชสมภพพระบาทสมเด็จพระพุทธเลิศหล้านภาลัย ในอำเภออัมพวา จังหวัดสมุทรสงคราม เพื่อเป็นอนุสรณ์สถานเฉลิมพระเกียรติพระบาทสมเด็จพระพุทธเลิศหล้านภาลัย เป็นศูนย์กลางศิลปวัฒนธรรมในรัชสมัยของพระองค์ อีกทั้ง เป็นสถานที่พักผ่อนหย่อนใจของประชาชน ภายในอุทยานฯ ประกอบด้วย อาคารเรือนไทย ซึ่งจัดเป็นพิพิธภัณฑ์พระราชประวัติ พระราชกรณียกิจ และพระอัจฉริยภาพของพระบาทสมเด็จพระพุทธเลิศหล้านภาลัย, พิพิธภัณฑ์วิถีไทยต้นกรุงรัตนโกสินทร์, พิพิธภัณฑ์มรดกทางวัฒนธรรมอัมพวา รูปปั้นประติมากรรมบทพระราชนิพนธ์ สวนพันธุ์ไม้ในวรรณคดีบทพระราชนิพนธ์เรื่องอิเหนาและรามเกียรติ์ นอกจากนี้ อุทยานฯ ได้จัดสอนหลักสูตรพิเศษ โครงการสืบทอดศิลปวัฒนธรรมด้าน นาฏศิลป์ ดุริยางคศิลป์ และคีตศิลป์ และโครงการสืบทอดศิลปวัฒนธรรมด้านทัศนศิลป์ งานช่างสิบหมู่ สาขาช่างศิลป์ไทย ให้แก่เยาวชนในจังหวัดสมุทรสงคราม อีกด้วย

King Rama II Phraboromrachanusorn Park Established on October 16, 1968, King Rama II Memorial Foundation under the royal patronage aims to showcase King Rama’s artistic legacy — literary and musical works including prose and poetry, lyrics and dance rhythms for Khon and plays; to promote the education about Thai art and culture; to enhance the activities related to Samut Songkhram’s art and culture, cultural landscape and lifestyle; and to support the activities launched by other charitable organizations. Princess Mahachakri Sirindhorn has been the chairperson since 1977. Since then, the princess has been continuously helping the foundation raise funds for transforming the landscape into the memorial park in Amphawa District, Samut Songkhram Province. Initially‚ King Rama II Phraboromrachanusorn Park, commonly known as King Rama II Memorial Park. The compound of King Rama II Memorial Park is outdoor theater Khon, plays and musical shows are performed here , Group of five Thai-style wooden houses designed showcase Thai traditional and cultural Museum and Amphawa Cultural Heritage Museum , Group of nine Thai-style reinforced concrete houses King Rama II’ s biography and artefacts , Botanical garden where visitors find trees, flowering plants and decorative plants whose names were mentioned in Thai literature.
