สมาชิกกลุ่มผ้ามัดย้อมแม่อิงชิโบริ ได้ร่วมกันผลิตสินค้าหัตถศิลป์ผ้ามัดย้อมชิโบริในนาม “แม่อิงชิโบริ - mae ing shibori” โดยใช้เวลาว่างนอกภาคเกษตรกรรม สร้างสรรค์งานหัตถศิลป์ ออกแบบและตัดเย็บ โดยใช้วัสดุและแรงบันดาลใจจากธรรมชาติที่อยู่รอบตัว ด้วยกรรมวิธีดั้งเดิมของญี่ปุ่นร่วมกับแนวทางร่วมสมัย ชิโบริ (Shibori) คือ คำในภาษาญี่ปุ่น ที่หมายถึงการสร้างลวดลายลงบนผ้า โดยปิดกั้นส่วนหนึ่งส่วนใดของผ้าไม่ให้ติดสี แล้วจึงนำไปย้อม ด้วยวิธีผูก พับ มัด รัด ผูกเป็นปม หนีบจับ เนาและเย็บ หรือวิธีผสมผสาน ชิโบริเป็นศิลปะการย้อมผ้าแบบญี่ปุ่นที่ได้รับการฝึกฝนและถ่ายทอดกันมาอย่างยาวนานกว่าหนึ่งพันสามร้อยปีในประเทศญี่ปุ่น ปัจจุบันเป็นเทคนิคการย้อมที่ใช้กันทั่วโลก สามารถสร้างงานหัตถศิลป์บนผืนผ้าที่งดงามและมีเอกลักษณ์โดดเด่นไม่ซ้ำใคร

Shibori is a Japanese-style manual dyeing technique which produces a number of various patterns on fabric. There are an unlimited number of ways to create the Shibori style, however most techniques have names, and these techniques have several varieties. Six major techniques have been used in the Mae Ing Shibori production, and local farmers have been involved in the design process. Shopping cloth bags of various sizes have been styled with the Shibori tie-dye technique, and utilized designs were selected by the group members. Mae Ing Shibori is an example of people living in a remote and poor Northern Thailand province who have united and worked together to develop an income-generating project. It is a model that displays that interesting projects can start from the formation of small groups who are willing to work together.
