SAMANTAO Heritage Coffee หรือ “สมันเตา กาแฟโบราณ” เป็นร้านกาแฟโบราณแห่งใหม่และแห่งเดียวในย่านถนนวิทยุ ชิดลม เพลินจิต และซอยสมคิด ที่ให้บริการกาแฟ ชา ขนมปังปิ้ง ขนมปังนึ่งและอาหารเช้าสไตล์ไทยโบราณดั้งเดิมที่คนไทยคุ้นเคยเป็นอย่างดี ร้านสมันเตา เป็นสถาปัตยกรรมศาลาไทยภาคกลางที่ออกแบบให้ผสมผสานระหว่างความเป็นไทยโบราณและความร่วมสมัยได้อย่างลงตัว ตั้งอยู่ริมสระน้ำของบ้านปาร์คนายเลิศ ซึ่งคุณพินิจ สมบัติศิริ อดีตอธิบดีกรมศาสนา รองอธิบดีและสถาปนิกกรมศิลปากร ผู้เป็นสามีของท่านผู้หญิงเลอศักดิ์ สมบัติศิริ บุตรสาวของนายเลิศ เศรษฐบุตร หรือ พระยาภักดีนรเศรษฐ ได้สร้างแพไว้เพื่อให้เป็นแพอเนกประสงค์รับรองแขกที่สัญจรทางเรือ เนื่องจากในอดีตสระแห่งนี้เคยเชื่อมต่อกับคลองแสนแสบมาก่อน คำว่า “สมันเตา” เป็นชื่อของเรือที่นายเลิศ เศรษฐบุตร ใช้เป็นการส่วนตัวเปรียบเหมือนรถสปอร์ตสมัยนี้ ซึ่งเป็นคำที่มาจากภาษาสันสกฤตมารวมกับชื่อของนายเลิศ เป็น “เลิศสมันเตา” หมายถึง ดีเลิศไม่เหมือนใคร และต่อมาได้แผลงมาเป็น “เลิศสมันแตน” ในปัจจุบัน ร้านสมันเตาให้ความสำคัญกับวัตถุดิบคุณภาพเยี่ยมด้วยเมล็ดกาแฟที่ส่งตรงมาจากไร่กาแฟทางภาคเหนือ ซึ่งมีรสชาติเข้มข้น หอมมัน กลมกล่อม ขนมปังและสังขยาโฮมเมดสูตรของร้านสมันเตาโดยเฉพาะ ในบรรยากาศร่มรื่นท่ามกลางแมกไม้ใหญ่และศาลาไทยริมสระน้ำ สะท้อนวิถีชีวิตของคนไทยในอดีตที่ใช้ชีวิต กิน อยู่ หลับ นอน เคียงข้างแม่น้ำ ลำคลองและสายน้ำมาอย่างยาวนานตั้งแต่อดีตจนถึงปัจจุบัน

SAMANTAO Heritage Coffee or “Samantao Antique Coffee” is a new and only ancient coffee shop in Witthayu Road, Chidlom, Ploenchit and Soi Somkid that serves coffee, tea, toast, steamed bread and traditional Thai breakfast that Thai people are familiar with. Well, Samanthao Restaurant is a central Thai pavilion architecture designed to blend the traditional Thai and contemporary style perfectly. Located by the pond of Nai Lert Park House, where Khun Pinit Sombatsiri, former Director-General of the Department of Religious Affairs Deputy Director-General and Architect of the Fine Arts Department Husband of Thanpuying Lesak Sombatsiri, daughter of Nai Lert Setthabutr or Phraya Phakdi Noraseth A raft was built to serve as a multipurpose raft to welcome guests traveling by boat. Because in the past, this pool was connected to the Saen Saep Canal before. The word “Samantao” is the name of the boat that Mr. Lert Setthabutr personally used to be like a sports car nowadays. which is a word that comes from Sanskrit and combines with Nai Lert's name to be "Lertsamantao" meaning excellent, unique. and later became "Lertsmantan" at present Samanthao places great emphasis on quality ingredients with coffee beans delivered directly from coffee plantations in the north. Which has a rich flavor, fragrant, mellow, homemade bread and custard, specially formulated by Samanthao in a shady atmosphere amid the big trees and a Thai pavilion by the pool reflects the way of life of Thai people in the past who lived, ate, slept and slept beside the river canals and rivers for a long time from the past to the present
