ความหมายของชื่อร้าน DTF : Family Hungry Place ย่อมาจากคำสแลงอย่าง ‘Down to Food’ ซึ่งหมายถึงความชอบในการกินอาหาร ประกอบกับในภาษาจีนตรงกันกับคำว่า ‘DAO刀 TU涂 FOOK福’ ซึ่งมีความหมายดี ๆ อย่าง DAO刀 ที่สื่อถึงการทำอาหาร / TU涂 หมายถึงการประยุกต์หรือการระบายสีที่สื่อถึงศิลปะ และ FOOK福 หมายถึงความเป็นสิริมงคล ก่อนจะเติมคำว่า ‘Family Hungry Place’ ต่อท้าย เพื่อต้องการให้ที่แห่งนี้พร้อมต้อนรับทุกคนได้เข้ามาใช้ช่วงเวลาดี ๆ ทานอาหารร่วมกันกับครอบครัว
