Our Story BY THE SEA KOH MAK Authentic Eats and Sleeps on Koh Mak Island By the Sea is a small guesthouse with bar and restaurant, based on the small tropical island Koh Mak in the Gulf of Thailand. It was started by Jens, Kiaw, Kim und Silke as a family business in February, 2017. Since they have first visited Thailand in 2003, the siblings Jens and Silke have always had a love for the Country. After Growing up in Germany and travelling the world they finally decided to make their life dream come true and started together with Jens’wife Kiaw and her daughter Kim a food centrist guesthouse concept. The By The Sea guesthouse and restaurant is designed to be a fun, relaxing and unpretentious space to be in. We believe life is here to be enjoyed and we want to share that idea with our staff and guests alike. Come and try us out for yourselves and be a part of the By The Sea extended family.
