สวนพฤกษศาสตร์วังน้ำเย็นมีหน้าที่ในการรวบรวมพันธุ์ไม้ทุกชนิดทั้งในภูมิภาคของ ประเทศและต่างประเทศอีกทั้งเป็นแหล่งเรียนรู้ให้กับเยาวชนและผู้สนใจในด้านพรรรณไม้และด้านการอนุรักษ์ทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ และเป็นแหล่งท่องเที่ยวทางนิเวศวิทยาที่สำคัญอีกด้วย

Wang Nam Yen Botanical Garden is responsible for collecting a wide variety of plant species both in the region of the country and abroad. It is also a learning center for nature classrooms and conservation of natural resources and recreation.
