อุทยานแห่งชาติหาดวนกร เป็นอุทยานแห่งชาติที่สวยงามแห่งหนึ่งที่ตั้งอยู่ตามแนวชายฝั่งของประเทศไทย ซึ่งแต่เดิมพื้นที่แห่งนี้เป็นพื้นที่ป่าสงวนแห่งชาติป่าวังด้วนและป่าห้วยยาง เป็นที่ตั้งของสวนป่าห้วยทรายและสวนป่าห้วยยาง ต่อมากรมป่าไม้ในขณะนั้น มีนโยบายที่จะจัดตั้งอุทยานแห่งชาติ จึงได้มีการประกาศให้พื้นที่ดังกล่าวเป็นอุทยานแห่งชาติหาดวนกร โดยประกาศในราชกิจจานุเบกษา เล่ม 109 ตอนที่ 126 ลงวันที่ 30 ธันวาคม พ.ศ. 2535 นับเป็นอุทยานแห่งชาติลำดับที่ 76 และเป็นอุทยานแห่งชาติทางทะเล ลำดับที่ 18 ของประเทศไทย รวมพื้นที่ทั้งหมด ทั้งทางบกและทางทะเล ประมาณ 38 ตารางกิโลเมตร หรือประมาณ 23,750 ไร่ มีเกาะขนาดเล็ก จำนวน 2 เกาะ คือ เกาะจานและเกาะท้ายทรีย์ ซึ่งมีแนวปะการังที่ว้างใหญ่และสวยงามที่สุดแห่งหนึ่งของอ่าวไทย ภายในอุทยานแห่งชาติหาดวนกร นอกจากจะมีชายหาดที่สะอาดและกว้างใหญ่แล้ว บริเวณชายฝั่งยังเต็มไปด้วยทิวต้นสนทะเลและต้นสนประดิพัทธ์ที่ให้ความร่มรื่น มีสถานที่และกิจกรรมอื่นๆ อีกมากมายที่น่าสนใจให้เลือกทำ เช่น เส้นทางศึกษาธรรมชาติ สถานที่กางเต็นท์ และดำน้ำดูปะการังที่สวยงามบริเวณเกาะจานและเกาะท้ายทรีย์ ซึ่งมีสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกที่ครบครันพร้อมรองรับเพื่อให้การเยี่ยมชมอุทยานแห่งชาติหาดวนกรของคุณจะเป็นที่จดจำ

Hat Wanakorn National Park is one of the more beautiful national parks located along the coast of Thailand. The area was formerly a National Reserved Forest of the Wang Duan and Huai Yang Forests, which included parts of the forestry plantations of Huai Sai and Huai Yang, Huai Yang Garden. On December 30, 1992 the Department of Forestry announced that the area was to become Hat Wanakorn National Park in the Royal Register Vol. 109, Section 126. Hat Wanakorn National Park became the 76th National Park in Thailand and the 18th Oceanic National Park. The total area of the park, including both land and sea, is 38 square kilometers, or roughly 23,750 rai, There are two islands within park boundaries, Jan Island and Tay Sri Island, The area also includes expansive coral reefs that are some of the most beautiful in the Gulf of Thailand. Aside from the expansive beaches rimmed with both Talay and Pradiphat Pine Trees at Hat Wanakorn National Park, there are many other areas of interest, e.g.: Nature Trails, Campground, beautiful coral reefs at Jan and Tay sri Island, and numerous recreational activities to do on the beach.
