แทมมาริน วิลเลจ เป็นโรงแรมขนาดเล็กบนพื้นที่อันสงบร่มรื่นภายในเมืองเก่าของเชียงใหม่ ซึ่งถูกโอบล้อมด้วยคูเมืองและกำแพงเมืองโบราณ โดยมีวัดเก่าแก่และถนนสายการค้าตั้งอยู่รายล้อมบริเวณโรงแรม ฯ ความเป็นมาของชื่อ "แทมมาริน วิลเลจ" หรือ หมู่บ้านมะขาม ได้มาจากต้นมะขามยักษ์ที่ให้ร่มเงากับผืนดินแห่งนี้เป็นเวลากว่า ๒๐๐ ปี จนกลายมาเป็นสัญลักษณ์ของโรงแรม สถาปัตยกรรมและการตกแต่งห้องพัก ๔๑ ห้องและห้องสวีท ๕ ห้อง เน้นความเรียบง่ายแฝงด้วยรายละอียดที่สะท้อนให้เห็นถึงความหลากหลายทางศิลปะวัฒนธรรมและเชื้อชาติในบริเวณตอนเหนือของประเทศไทย โดยเฉพาะสิ่งทอ ซึ่งถูกหยิบยกมาจากชาวไทยภูเขาหลาย ๆ ชนเผ่าที่ตั้งรกรากอยู่รายรอบเมืองเชียงใหม่
