The most direct route between Bangkok and Chiang Mai in the north is via Paholyothin road. And Tak is a middle town between Bangkok and Chiang Mai. Tak has three main national parks; Taksin Maharat , Lansang and Umphang (Tee Lor Sue waterfall). Tak Andaman hotel is located near the main road (Phaholyothin). It is just about 30 mins to Taksin Maharat National Park, 4.30 hour from Bangkok and 3 hour drive to Chiang Mai.
